Chwast designed this poster for the 1989 “Advertising Zanders” series focusing on images of cultural pursuits for the historic German paper manufacturer Zanders. Each was comprised of two related posters layered on top of each other and representing two different grades of the company’s papers. In this design, the upper poster forms a flap; when lifted, the same two figures appear on the lower one surrounded by swirling colored lines.
