This poster was issued by the Swedish Vänsterpartiet (Left Party), a socialist, feminist, and green party, in the mid-1980s. In an effort to appeal to young voters, it shows a photograph of a group of cool, young urbanites by the established Swedish documentary photographer Åsa Franck, known for her raw and uncompromising images, above a demand for “Job and Housing!” Today, the Vänsterpartiet is the fourth largest party in Sweden.
