Kamen Popov designed this poster for a theatrical adaptation of Exercises in Style, the most famous work by French modernist writer Raymond Queneau, first published in 1947. In this experimental work, a banal anecdote is told in 99 different literary styles and linguistic forms. Popov’s composition here, one of many he made for various theaters in Luxembourg, emphasizes both the rhetorical nature of this ambitous venture and its playful humor, one that verges on Absurdism.
